How to Remove Aveo Attune

Aveo Attune is adware that sits on your computer and automatically downloads, displays and plays advertisements from its parent company. If you find Attune on your computer, that means your computer has been infected. You can take care of this problem either by downloading external spyware removal software or tackling the problem yourself.

Download anti-spyware software. A link to one trusted program has been provided in the Resources section. For the average computer user, this is the best route to take, as the program will take care of spyware removal for you.

Back up your system registry before taking any risky steps if you plan to remove Aveo Attune without the aid of software.

Terminate the adware's process in Task Manager. Attune will usually show up as the following processes: attunel.exe and auninst.exe. Highlight these programs and click 'End'.

Go to the Start menu and clock 'Run'. Type in REGSVR32 -u . Click OK. Replace with: %ProgramFiles%\aveo\attune\updater1\0409\lang.dll

Repeat the process by replacing with: %ProgramFiles%\aveo\attune\updater1\aclui.dll

Go to the Start menu and click 'Run'. Type in regedit. Click OK. Find and delete these subkeys:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run\attune download

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\aveo\attunedownload

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run\attune download

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\uninstall\attune

Go to Internet Explorer and delete the directory: %ProgramFiles%\aveo\attune\
