How to Lose Weight When You're Lazy and Fat

Slimming down usually requires some planning and hard work, so it's difficult to lose weight when you're lazy and fat. You know that you should lose weight, but you don't want to put in the effort. Miracle weight loss solutions don't exist, but it's still possible to lose weight without spending a lot of time. You don't have to spend hours at the gym or cooking healthy meals--you simply have to change some of your habits to healthier ones.

    Grab a protein bar for breakfast. Eating breakfast is important because it gets your day off on the right track. If you don't eat breakfast, you may find that you're starving and overeat later on. The protein in the protein bar can keep you full until your mid-morning snack or lunch, but you don't have to spend time making it.

    Look up fast food nutritional information before you go. Make a list of "safe" foods from your favorite fast food restaurants. These should be foods that are relatively healthy and should serve as your go-to foods when you inevitably hit up the drive through.

    Snack on fresh fruits and vegetables. If you want to lose weight, you need healthier snacks than the standard candy bars and bags of chips that you can get in the vending machines. Fresh fruits like apples, oranges and bananas are easy to transport and eat. Baby carrots or prepared veggie platters are also convenient.

    Commit to walking up one flight of stairs. Little bits of exercise add up over time. While you may not want to walk up the stairs, even a little bit could help. Get off one floor early at work and walk up that last flight. Over time, you'll find that you want to walk up more.

    Do exercises while you watch TV. You may not want to dedicate time for exercise, but you can squeeze in a few during the commercials. It doesn't have to be strenuous--just some crunches or leg lifts. The commercials only last a few minutes and you can go back to enjoying the show when it comes back on.

    Try high intensity interval training. There's no doubt that exercise can help you to lose weight. If you don't want to exercise for hours, consider high intensity interval training (HIIT) instead. This packs an efficient workout--alternating high and low intensity activities--into just 20 minutes.
