How to Lose Weight by Eating Raw Foods

There are many reasons why eating raw foods can help you to lose weight, ranging from the very simple to the scientifically complex. Some people choose to adopt an entirely raw diet, but even if this is not for you, you can gain many health benefits and lose weight more easily by incorporating more raw foods into your diet. Raw cuisine can be surprisingly diverse and delicious, once you get to know it.

Big raw salads with healthy dressing choices also make great, filling, low-calorie meals.

    Try dehydrated snacks. These products, such as fruit leathers and "raw" crackers, are dried to a chewy or crispy state using low heat. Trying these options can be a great way to conveniently incorporate more raw food in your diet, and provide a range of different taste experiences.

    Eat sprouted grains. Whether you sprout your own grains or buy "raw" bread made with sprouted grains, you are getting the benefits of raw nutrition. Sprouted grains can contribute to weight loss because they provide much more complex carbohydrates than standard refined grains, and are also dense enough to create a feeling of fullness that lasts for quite a while.

    Get comfortable with healthy fats. Diets that incorporate a large percentage of raw food can be extremely low in calories, in some cases so low that they're unsustainable over time.
