Make an easy bulgar burger, since it is a good substitute for ground beef. Start cooking bulgar in a saucepan with a little butter. Blend together until smooth: one clove garlic, one tsp. of seasoning salt, two cups of water, one cup of walnuts, half an onion.
2Pour the mixture on the blugar cooking in saucepan. Cook for five minutes under low heat. Take off the burner and let cool for 20 minutes. Place on a cookie sheet and bake for an hour at 250 degrees. Now you have a burger mixture to use for burgers, nachos, etc.
3Saute chicken livers, mushrooms, onions, garlic until the liver is no longer pink; pour in rosemary, sherry, lemon juice, salt and pepper and simmer for a couple of minutes.
4Start the day off with a glass of orange juice and bowl of cereal like raisin bran, Chex, or Special K. Orange Juice has 136 micrograms of folic acid, while most cereals provide 100% of the daily recommended value of folic acid. Make guacamole as a snack and still get up to 81 micrograms of folic acid in one sitting.
