How Does Green Tea Make You Lose Weight?

    Weight gain is caused from getting an overabundance of calories. To be more specific, you gain weight when you consume more calories than you burn. Green tea helps to curb your appetite, leading to fewer calories consumed.

Substituting green tea for a coffee drink lowers your daily calorie intake, and helps you to lose weight. The caffeine from green tea works differently than that of coffee. It works in concert with tannins that are also in it to give you a relaxing, slower increase in energy.
