Fast Easy Ways to Lose Weight

Maintaining the proper weight is an essential part of good health. Keeping trim can help you avoid problems such as high blood pressure and diabetes that can follow from excess weight gain. Drink Water

    Drink more water. Very often when people feel hungry they really need water. Water is vital to maintain health. Set up a simple rule: whenever you feel hungry try drinking an eight-ounce glass of water instead. Keep cold water on hand to make water more appealing. Add ice and pour it into a pretty cup or mug. Decorate with a lemon or lime slice. Use a straw to drink from the cup. You can also drink low-calorie refreshments such as hot tea or seltzer water. Pick out tea flavors that you like. Experiment with different kinds of teas. Have a variety on hand as you go about your day. Drink slowly and then wait 20 minutes. Very often you'll find your hunger has abated or been reduced.

Eat Better

    Eat more fruit and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables are high in fiber, low in fat and contain essential vitamins and minerals. Stop buying chocolate and candy. Instead, leave carrot and celery sticks around to snack on. Treat yourself to fresh fruit even if costs a little bit more. Try fruits and vegetables that you've never eaten before. Learn to eat a pomegranate. Try out a starfruit. Chop up bok choy (Chinese cabbage) into small pieces and saut it for a few minutes. Enjoy the resulting crunchy snack. Use a low-fat condiment such as salsa, strained yogurt or flavored hummus as a dip. Aim for at least five servings of fruits and vegetables each day.

Exercise

    Exercise can help you lose weight, improve your health and tighten muscles. Frequent exercise is a vital park of any weight loss program. Look for a form of exercise that you find enjoyable. If you are a beach person join a gym with a pool that you can use to swim laps. If you like to see new places park your car on a side street. Take a forty minute walk around a different neighborhood each day. Use this time to learn new skills. If you've never learned to ride a bike seize this time to learn how. Take lessons with someone. If you like to ride bikes purchase a good bike that suits your body type. Even someone who has never used a bike before can easily use an exercise bike. Work out to music or park yourself in front of the Internet and read while you exercise.
