1952 Nash Rambler Wagon Specifications

The Nash Rambler was manufactured by the Nash Motors Division of the Nash-Kelvinator Corporation from 1950 until 1955; Ramblers produced after 1955 were from American Motors, which took over Nash. The 1952 Nash Rambler Series 5210 "Deliveryman" utility station wagon came in two trims; Custom and Super.

Engine

    The 1952 Nash Rambler Wagon featured an in-line, L-head 172.6 cubic inch, 6-cylinder engine with mechanical valve lifters. The flat-head motor had 4 main bearings and used a one-barrel Carter carburetor. It had a bore and stroke of 3 1/8 inches by 3 3/4 inches with a compression ratio of 7.25:1. It produced 82 horsepower at 3,800 rpm with 138 foot-pounds of torque at 1,600 rpm.

Chassis

    The 2-door 1952 wagon had a helical 3-speed transmission with an 8-inch, single-plate, dry-disc clutch. The car rode on independent coil-spring suspension. Its steering gear was a worm and roller type. All 4 wheels had 8-inch hydraulic drum brakes. The centrifugal water pump cooling system used a fin and tube radiator.

Dimensions

    The 2,515 pound wagon was 176 inches long, 73.5 inches wide and 59 inches tall with a 100 inch wheelbase. Its front tread was 53.37 inches with a 53 inch rear tread.
