Low-carbohydrate protein bars are all the rage among the bodybuilding community and the health-conscious, but they are a good and healthy substitute for a quick snack between meals for everyday folk as well. If buying them seems expensive to you, or you just feel more comfortable making your own food, these types of bars can be made easily from scratch.
Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2Mix the eggs, canola oil, sugar and vanilla flavoring in the bowl.
3Add the flour, wheat germ, baking soda, salt, and oats. Mix well, until the mass is without lumps. Add the hazelnuts and mix again.
4Spray the cooking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
5Spread the mixture in the cooking pan and put it in the oven.
6Leave the mixture in the oven for 25 minutes or until the edge of the mass starts to pull away from the sides of the pan.
7Take the mass out of the oven and leave it to cool. Once the mass is cold, cut the sheet into bars.
