How to Lose Weight Drinking Milk

The 24/24 Milk Diet, also known as 24/24 or The Milk Diet, is a fad diet that focuses on drinking milk every day. Most fad diets only assist the body in losing excess water weight, and the 24/24 Milk Diet is no exception. However, if you need to lose weight in a hurry, trying the Milk Diet for several weeks will cause you to lose approximately one to two pounds a week. If you have suffered from eating disorders in the past or have any major health problems, consult your doctor before starting the Milk Diet.

Instructions

    Drink 24 ounces of fat-free milk every 24 hours. The 24 ounces of milk is equal to approximately three glasses of milk per day.

    Eat a diet full of fresh fruit and vegetables. You do not have to eat less to lose weight on the milk diet, although you will get better results if most of the foods you eat daily are fresh vegetables and fruits.

    Eat a lean protein source twice a day. Lean protein includes foods such as lean chicken breast or black beans. For example, you can eat black bean soup for lunch and a lean chicken breast with steamed vegetables for dinner.

    Do not drink more milk to lose more weight. Drinking four or five glasses of milk a day will not speed up the process, so stick to three 8-ounce glasses of milk every 24 hours.

    Get plenty of exercise. An active lifestyle works best with the Milk Diet. Do not expect to lose weight by sitting sedentary throughout the day and simply drinking three glasses of milk in addition to your regular diet. Try running in the morning for at least 20 minutes and playing a sport at night, like tennis or softball, at least three times a week.
